Executive Committee
The executive committee provides leadership and direction to the annual Kansas John Phillip Sousa Junior Honor Band. Comprised of a chair and 10-12 Kansas band directors, members are selected by recommendation and then accepted by executive board members. The chairperson is determined by the executive board.

Advisory Committee
The Advisory Board is comprised of 8 or 10 band directors, music merchants and other support personnel who provide direction as needed. They are nominated by the chair and/or executive board and voted on by the board.

Financial and Cancellation Policy
The Participation Fee is required for each student selected and named to the official ensemble roster and secures the student’s participation in the event.
Students who withdraw after being named to the roster remain responsible for the full Participation Fee. Alternates who are added to the roster will be assessed the Participation Fee upon acceptance. Schools or participants with an outstanding balance from a previous year are not eligible to register or participate until the balance is paid in full.
The Kansas John Philip Sousa Honor Band reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
All registration fees and participation payments are non-refundable, including in the event of cancellation resulting from circumstances as described above.
By registering for the event, participants, families, and schools acknowledge and agree to this policy.
