Oct. 19, 2026 – Audition fee invoice opens in Festival Scores. Pay via PayPal, or Checks payable to KS John Philip Sousa Jr. Honor Band All fees are non-refundable.

Oct. 1, 2026 – Audition Event opens in Festival Scores. Uploads may begin.
Oct. 16, 2026 – Audition mp3 file upload and application deadline to Festival Scores (there are no exceptions)
Oct. 17, 2026 – Invoices for audition fees may be downloaded and paid.
Nov. 13, 2026 – Audition fees due (postmark) ($15 per student per audition) All fees are non-refundable.
Nov. 20, 2026 (approximately) – 2027 Results are posted.
Dec. 2026 – Music sent to band directors before winter break.
February 1, 2027 – Participation fees due ($45 per accepted student). All fees are non-refundable.

Committees and Organizational Structure
Financial and Cancellation Policy
The Participation Fee is required for each student selected and named to the official ensemble roster and secures the student’s participation in the event.
Students who withdraw after being named to the roster remain responsible for the full Participation Fee.
Alternates who are added to the roster will be assessed the Participation Fee upon acceptance.
Schools or participants with an outstanding balance from a previous year are not eligible to register or participate until the balance is paid in full.
The Kansas John Philip Sousa Honor Band reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.
All registration fees and participation payments are non-refundable, including in the event of cancellation resulting from circumstances as described above.
By registering for the event, participants, families, and schools acknowledge and agree to this policy.
